Sabrina Bryan Thrilled To Be On Dancing With The Stars
Popularized by the Disney Channel original movie, The Cheetah Girls, the talented singer, dancer and actress Sabrina Bryan is set to take the stage along with fellow celebrity competitors on Dancing with the Stars. Most people know that the reality competition is commonly used as a way for celebrities to increase their publicity after a long hiatus or further promote their young careers. For the 23-year-old Bryan, however, this is not the case.

Sabrina Bryan had actually petitioned to be cast on the show after attending a taping of last season's Dancing with the Stars.

In a recent conversation with TV Guide, the Cheetah Girl talked about Dancing with the Stars, and shared some things about her experience attending the show's taping last spring.

"There were still four couples, and I'll never forget it. Apolo [Anton Ohno] and Julianne [Hough] did a Latin dance to 'Push It,' and I was just dying. It just got me so excited. It energized me 100 percent," the young actress revealed. "I called my agent. And I met with one of the casting directors for the show. And I was like, 'I have to get on the show. I don't care what I have to do. I need to get on that show!'"

In addition, Bryan received some moral support from fellow

Disney actress and star of High School Musical, Monique Coleman, who also previously appeared on the celebrity competition.

"I completely suggest that you do it," Coleman said to Bryan. "It's one of the most amazing experiences that I've ever had."

For her stint on Dancing with the Stars, Sabrina Bryan will be working with Mark Ballas, a new dancer to the show.

"When I walked in and found out who it was, I was so excited," she said enthusiastically. "He's new to the show, but he was Julianne Hough's professional partner for eight years."

The pair seemed to start off pretty well, and Bryan says that she feels comfortable that he can get her to speed up on the dances.

"I told him, 'I don't know the names of any of the dances! I don't know the difference between the tango and the cha-cha," she said. "But he just broke it down for me. He's incredible."
