Dancing With The Stars Tour Heads To Ottawa
On July 10, the tour headed to Scotiabank Place, where around 4,300 people filled the stadium to watch the performances.

Celebrities such as Joey Fatone, Drew Lachey, Joey McIntyre and Joey Lawrence impressed the crowd with their moves, accented by their professional dance partners. The women were also a highlight in the show as they wore colorful, sparkling and revealing dresses that served as eye candy for the audience.

The floor of the stadium was converted into a ballroom dancing area while bar tables were placed around the large floor. A big screen was also set up for those with limited view. A live six-piece band and several singers were also there to provide the music for the different dances.

The celebrities also took a little time to engage in light banter after each performance.

Cheryl Burke, a two-time Emmy nominated professional dancer and partner for Drew Lachey, said that when she met him, she was so shy she couldn't even look at him. Burke and Lachey eventually won in the second season of Dancing with the Stars.

Lawrence, on the other hand,

showed off his biceps with some decorative straps. He said that he had been busy getting his “Fosse on eight days a week,” referring to his Broadway work in Chicago.

In addition, the 31-year-old actor shared a few words about his Polish dance partner, Edyta Sliwinska. He said that Sliwinska kept saying "it's a cup of cake," so he decided to help her improve her English while she made him a better dancer.

Australian dancer Kym Johnson also teased former 'NSync member Joey Fatone to delight the crowd. She said, "We can’t all be Justin Timberlake."

The dance numbers weren't the only highlights of the show as they included an extensive blooper reel and a local dance competition for professional-amateur pairs. These participants came from all around Ottawa.
