Stop a War A nation at war with itself cannot stand. He speaks of Americanjustice and points us to evil while he cuts deals with nucleararmed devils. A friend of al Qaeda, he is the Commander-In-Chiefof the most powerful military force on planet earth and the manwe call President. I know this is true because I heard it on TV. In November, 2001, just weeks after declaring war on globalterrorism, President George Bush and Secretary Donald Rumsfeldassisted some 8,000 members of and their Pakistanitrainers to escape Afghanistan. Three to four hundred members ofthe U.S. Delta Force had the terrorists surrounded, in their gunsights and can testify they were ordered not to engage.
This episode was reported on the PBS program, NOW, with BillMoyers, on February 21, 2003, by investigative reporter SeymourHersh. The transcript is available from the NOW/PBS Website. If this report is correct: 1.The war on terrorism is a fraud.2. President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld have provided aid andcomfort to an enemy in wartime. This, I seem to recall, is thedefinition of high treason, a capital crime for which both menshould be executed when properly tried and convicted. 3.President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld should be immediatelyrelieved of office by Congress. Until this matter is resolvedand before another American life is lost in a phony war createdto convince the people to trade their liberty for security.Security that cannot be had at any price. Life carries risksthat can only be minimized by personal choices, not policepower. 4. If Congress refuses to act in this matter, leavingalleged traitors in a position to further destroy lives, theyshould all be recalled from office by the States. It is known to American government that Pakistan is a sponsorof and shield to terrorism. General Musharraf is likely a puppetof radical fundamentalists in Pakistan and elsewhere. Theeconomic aid flowing to Pakistan by the billions from Americantaxpayers, through a treasonous Congress, is used to support alQaeda and to provide nuclear weapons to 3rd world powers likeNorth Korea and probably as well. Pakistan is theCapitol of evil and government says, “No, look over here, atIraq, Iran and North Korea! Pakistan is our nuclearproliferating terrorist friend because we fear them and mustsupport their secular strong man.” Every member of the U.S. Armed Forces has sworn an oath todefend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, foreign anddomestic. Those members of Delta Force who leaked this story ofpresidential hypocrisy and treason have done their duty toAmerica and their military brethren. I have no doubt more willcome forward, if nothing happens to them, to confirm the treasonof November, 2001. When the Commander-In-Chief is a traitor, thesoldier is in a very delicate position. He/she can be placed inharm’s way before testimony can be given. These witnesses needprotection now. Should anything happen to them, we will knowthat treason has no limit. Because high treason is a capital crime, it seems there isgreat reluctance to expose it, like a family secret. No onewants to accuse or try the top leaders of a nation,
perhaps theworld. Saying and doing nothing makes everyone else complicit inthe crime. Even the panel on Now avoided calling this action acrime. It was portrayed as a political expediency to supportsecular leadership in Pakistan, General Musharraf. Questions are then raised concerning future events. Let's lookat a likely scenario. We know when has chosen a targetin America, they persist until it is destroyed. World TradeCenter 1993 and 2001. The national capitol 2001 and ? Securityhas tightened sufficiently so the next attack on the capitolwill be different than the last, as with the Trade Center. The report on Now demonstrates a close relationship betweenPakistan and al Qaeda. Pakistan has growing nuclear capabilityand it is reasonable to assume has proved itself worthyto share in this capability. While it may be a bit moredifficult to move nuclear devices within striking distance ofthe capitol, it is far from impossible. Any number of nuclearweapons could be brought in with regular drug shipments, madepossible by the great war on drugs fraud. The lesson of Waco, Texas and Ruby Ridge, Idaho was to fear thegovernment's ability to make war on the people. The lesson ofOklahoma City and September 11, is that government can’t orwon't protect the people or itself. Fear increases all aroundand affects every aspect of American life. That fear not onlyallows an expansion of government and government power, itdemands the increase as national security. The escape of 8,000 in 2001 does nothing to increasesecurity anywhere. Anything the President has said aboutnational security since November, 2001 is suspect. There is nodoubt national government is growing like a cancer. Yet, if alQaeda succeeds in destroying the capitol, especially a nucleardestruction, would any American see it as a successful radiationtreatment? Can surviving America rest easier because the capitolwas the target and not the rest of us? Will Congress deservesuch a fate because it did nothing when the Presidentsubstantially decreased the entire national security? As I write this, I have heard reports that U.S. forces areclosing in on near the Pakistani border. Will theycapture or kill the 8,000 freed in November, 2001? Or will mostof them slip away with Pakistani assistance? The answer to thisquestion should tell us much about the so called war onterrorism. Personally, I expect it to be business as usual andhope I am wrong. To add some balance to all this, I want to point out that wecould consider the escape of November, 2001 a case of aChristian President loving his enemies, as the Bible instructs.Could we be witnessing the beginnings of New Age warfare here?Will there be any gratitude among the 8,000 who were and areready to die for their beliefs? Will they be satisfied with thedestruction of their next primary target? Or will they continueuntil America is one of the least powerful nations in the world?Would that be a bad thing?
